The programme has been expanded over the years, and offers coverage for NOK 16 billion.
From 1996 The member companies have been given the opportunity to act as reinsurers in the programme. Each company can be reinsurer for a part of the programme that is equal to their share of the pool.
Through this, the company will have two roles in the reinsurance programme. They first have to pay for the insurance programme as do all of the members, and they will get a commission as do all of the other reinsurers
